The Carlton Lodge is on the east side of Helmsley 350 metres from the 12 century Market (Friday) Square. It lies on the southern boundary of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park described as '550 square miles of glorious wilderness.' Nestling in a river basin the Carlton Lodge is a quiet guesthouse with private parking. It is ideally situated as a base for touring the region with the east coast resorts, historic York, and the Moors and Dales all within an easy drive.
