Everything was good quality, from the comfortable bed to the delicious toast at breakfast. We have been to Scarborough before and stayed in perfectly adequate accommodation but will certainly opt for the Helaina if we come again. Read less

The pleasant and efficient staff, the comfort and quality at a good price.
The location suited us well too - just over 10 minutes stroll to the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
Dislikes:
No - even the climb to the top floor was good for us, though it might not suit others!

Fabulous seaviews from our deluxe room, very clean, well decorated and warm! Lovely fluffy bathrobes and Damana toiletries. The beaches, town and castle were all within easy walking distance and we recommend the Miaz Indian restaurant just down the road! The hotel was one of the most tastefully decorated hotels we have ever stayed in-would return! Read less

It is located within a quiet area of Scarborough, yet is just a 5 minutes walk from Scarborough's North and South beaches, the town centre and historic harbour. The Helaina overlooks Scarborough's North Bay with stunning sea views encompasing the sands, castle and miles of coastline
There is no shortage of great pubs, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Helaina is perfectly placed for walkers, and superb local cliff walks are easily accessed from the accommodation. Alternatively a few minutes' drive brings you onto the North Yorkshire Moors. Free local parking permits are available to our guests on arrival, and the accommodation has a licensed drinks service and free WiFi throughout.
Our newly refurbished rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable. Guests enjoy high quality en-suite facilities with soft bathrobes, large bath towels and beautiful toiletries. Our bed rooms are packed with goodies including LCD digital TV, radios, hair driers, alarm clocks and refreshments including biscuits, tea, filter coffee, fruit teas and hot chocolate. Guests can expect the highest quality decor.
Our Deluxe Sea View rooms have King Size sleigh beds, 26" LCD digital TVs and 2 arm chairs in the bay window with stunning views.
