Built in 1784, The Windmill is an 18th Century Grade II listed building, and the last remaining windmill in Scarborough. Lovingly restored and refurbished over 17 years, The Windmill offers you the ability to cater for yourselves or stay with us on a bed and breakfast basis.

We have two lovely suites, each on 2 floors, in the Windmill itself. The Balcony Suite is for adventurous adults and the lower spacious Windmill Madeline Suite, which is more spacious, also for 2 adults but with a travel cot if baby (under 2 years) comes too! Both suites benefit from comfortable king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with a shower on one floor, and on another floor, facilities of an electric hob/oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer so you cater for yourselves.

Our 3 Premier Four Poster rooms are designed with comfort in mind and located on the veranda over the courtyard. Each room has a king-size bed, a generous hospitality tray, hairdryer and LCD flat screen colour TV with Freeview. A hearty home made breakfast is taken in the dining room on the ground floor of The Windmill, where you can select from numerous options, including vegetarian, a full English or Yorkshire Oak Smoked Kippers. Whilst enjoying breakfast, you will also be able to view our collection of toys from 1960s onwards.

We also have two single storey cottages each with 2 en-suite bedrooms and a lounge, kitchen dining room. Cottage No 1 accommodates up to 4 adults and 1 child under the age of 12 and Cottage No 2 up to 4 adults. These Cottages have been designed with comfort in mind and can be occupied on a serviced or self-catering basis as both are fully equpped with electric hob/oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Please note we do not accept single sex groups in our Cottages.

There is free parking in the courtyard for one car per property or room.

For the comfort and benefit of all our guests, we do not accept pets and are a non-smoking establishment
