Friendly atmoshere. And so nice to have a small teapot in the room for making tea, it tastes so much better made in a pot instead of the cup.

"Relaxing & comfortable break in peaceful surroundings, with very friendly hosts."
We were greeted by our friendly hosts Gareth & Caroline and made at ease immediately. The location is excellent and we had a great view of the village higgledy piggeldy landscape and sheep. It was nice just to stroll around the village and have a pint & a meal a few yards away without having to drive, although we did try other pubs a few miles drive away on other evenings. Very comfortable bed and great breakfast. Don't forget to try Caroline's amazing cakes! Read less

Location. Village itself is beautiful and it's right next to The Moors with it's peaceful scenery. Also, not that far from the coast. As previously confirmed, very friendly hosts and great breakfast.
Dislikes:
Knocking noise from pipes when running water from other rooms stopped. Some parts of accommodation slightly dated, but I know it will be worked on in close season. Wee TV, but you should be outside!

The Barn Guest House and Tea Rooms have earned an enviable reputation for excellent accommodation and a charming place for something tasty to eat.

Your hosts Caroline and Gareth Edwards offer you a very warm welcome at all times.

Breakfast is served in the tearoom, overlooking the beautiful village green, where sheep can often be seen grazing. You can look forward to being offered anything from a full English breakfast with local produce and home made preserves, to a lighter breakfast from our buffet table. We are proud to serve Yorkshire tea, or our excellent coffee alongside a selection of speciality teas.

The residents' lounge is spacious, attractive and welcoming, with open fire for cool evenings.

We offer a range of teas and coffees, homemade cakes, scones, puddings, bread and snacks (soups, sandwiches, pates and more) and also more substantial meals, all delicious and prepared in our own kitchen, using the freshest local produce where possible.

The tearoom has a log fire, for added warmth and comfort.
