The room was well appointed and the effective double glazing ensured we were not disturbed by traffic noise. We couldn't get over how close we were to all the amenities in the centre of York city.

Clean crisp bedding and towels and lovely breakfast infact it was gorgeous.
Dislikes:
The temperature in the room, the heating didn't come on until about 5,5-30 and it's a small radiator so took hours to warm up and it was a very cold weekend.

The staff didn't ask for my name or my reference number, if a stranger walked in and said they'd booked a room they wouldn't have known any different.

The Crescent Guest house is in a fantastic location, 5-10 mins walk from the train station and it's only a short walk to the centre of York.
Dislikes:
The room was like a sauna!! And not in a good way....

Location was good, very close to train station and York centre.
Dislikes:
At breakfast our table cloth had marks and crumbs on it from the previous day. I had to change my mug as it wasnt clean. The place is tatty. The staff are no where to be seen. Its on a very noisy road
