Everything! Debbie and John were perfects hosts as were their staff. The house itself is stunning and our room had perfect views over the garden and horses in the field.Definately go back again!

As soon as you drive through the gates and up to the house, you will feel as though you’ve escaped to a different world; our house is set in nearly 20 acres of land - the views are just stunning and as far as the eye can see. We have a combination of formal gardens (including an original walled garden), woodland with gorgeous walks down to Iford and Bradford on Avon, a tennis court and outdoor heated swimming pool. And the terrace overlooking the paddocks is an ideal place to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
We are very happy to welcome families to Friary Wood – our rooms have very much been designed with families in mind with our largest room able to sleep up to 6. In addition, many of the rooms have interconnecting doors or can be combined to make comfortable family suites. There is even a guest kitchen on the first floor which is handy for heating up bottles or snacks for the kids!
Friary Wood is set in nearly 20 acres of land – (a combination of woodland, pasture and formal gardens) as well as having a tennis court and private outdoor heated swimming pool. This wonderful environment, combined with a perfect location (just 8 miles from the centre of Bath and with easy access to all transport links and the M4 motorway), make Friary Wood the perfect location for all manner of Celebrations & Events. The opportunities are only limited by your imagination!
