"Definitely choose Eglinton Guest House"
I booked in for a one night stay as I was attending a wedding reception. I booked a single room but was delighted to be given a double room. Welcome and attentiveness by staff was first class and menu choice for breakfast was amazing and very very tasty. Would definitely book here again if I'm back in the area. Read less

Comfy bed, warm room

Coffee provided in the room - NYC? - 3 in 1, coffee, milk, sugar mix powder was absolute rubbish! My wife does not take sugar, so no morning coffee for her until we were at breakfast.

My friend and I were in a twin room on the top floor. The room was clean and comfortable. I hadn't realised the bathroom wasn't ensuite which we would have preferred and would have been prepared to pay extra for. Location was lovely and the accommodation was ideal for one night. Read less

Clean room and a lovely location for a one night stay.
Dislikes:
The bathroom wasn't particularly clean, it could be doing with a really good scrub.

Whether you just want to relax and enjoy the scenery or participate in the many sports available locally, we have something to offer every taste, the young and the not so young. We are within a few minutes walk of the beach, the town centre and many of the amenities and entertainments for which Ayr is popular, including:

- The Auld Kirk 'O' Ayr
- Blackfriars Walk
- Wallace Tower
- Burns Cottage
- Burns Monument
- The Brig 'O' Doon

There are sea and fishing trips available from Ayr Harbour, or if you would rather relax in comfort; how about a criuse "Doon the Water" on the Waverley, the last operational Paddle Stemer, that sails around the Islands and Ports of the Clyde waters. Many activities and sports are also on offer, including Golf, Swimming, Cycling, Fishing, Tennis, Sailing, Windsurfing, Walking, the list is endless!
