"very relaxing visit"
We came predominately to go to the Yorkshire Show but did end up having a day in the Dales. We were made extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble and there were many suggestions of places to go to eat, all of which were well recommended. The views from our room were lovely, straight across the valley to Skipton and all was so peaceful. Long downhill drive! Read less

The choices for breakfast were wide and you could choose any combination which was perfect for us. The B&B was small enough to chat to all the other guests too which made for a friendly atmosphere.
Dislikes:
It was a bit disconcerting having a room just off the dining room but actually there was no problem as it was so quiet and next to the guest lounge.

Likes:
The bed and the breakfasts. And the location.
Dislikes:
Clothes storage limited, so why not real hangers in the wardrobe? Anti-theft versions don't work well where the rail is front to back. Very frustrating!

"Weekend retreat!"
My friend and I met up midway between where we live. As I am familiar with the area I was keen to introduce my friend to the beautiful villages and countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. We were lucky enough to see the peregrines flying at Mallam Cove. Throstles nest is the perfect location for exploring the Dales.
We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the guest lounge on the extremely comfy settees. Read less

Dislikes:
I found the propert easily but my friend approaching from the other direction could not easily see the sign at the top
of the drive.
