The exterior of the whole b & b badly needs a makeover and could be off putting. The reception area is dark and very brown but the owners and staff are lovely. They have a great idea of an honesty bar and I hope guests are honest and a takeaway table so you don't eat takeaways in your room. We made the mistake of not specifically requesting a room with a shower so got a bath with a handheld shower. I don't think you can have both. Lots of thought has gone into accommodating children Read less

Friendliness of owner and staff. view and the Pets!
Dislikes:
As above. The walk into town and a little niggle that lighting in the driveway / car park could be better.
Response from Sandown Manor Bed & Breakfast:
Thank you for you comments and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We did have lights down our drive but unfortunately someone decided to cut the cables! However, we have now replaced them and the drive and car park are lit at night. We hope we get to welcome you back in the future. Debbie

Sandown Manor occupies an elevated position looking out across Sandown Bay in an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty. There are far reaching views towards Sandown, Shanklin and St. Boniface Down and from the building's unique position , you will be able to see approximately ¼ of the Island from the sea view bedrooms, dining room and lounge.

We have an outdoor swimming pool and our own free car park. For the children we have swings and a slide, trampoline, table tennis and Pool. All of our rooms offer en suite facilities, colour televisions and hospitality trays and the majority afford the stunning views that make our establishment so special.

During the day or evening you can enjoy sea views from our sun terrace and watch the sun go down. You'll think our view is breathtaking in the day, but when the sun sets it is truly spectacular.

The area is popular with every kind of holiday maker, whether you are looking for a beach holiday with the kids, or a more relaxed break, away from everything giving you a chance to relax.

Sandown Manor is located within a 5 minutes walk from the seafront and promenade where you will find a seafront café, the Isle of Wight Zoo (ITV’s Tiger Island), Dinosaur Isle, Brown’s Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf, Tennis Courts and Children’s Play Area. 10 minutes further along the seafront you will find numerous shops, bars and restaurants.”
In our grounds we currently have “Frazzles”, a Shetland Pony, "Rosie", a Donkey Foal, Ducks, "Hop", "Skip" and "Jump", our 3 Lambs, Rabbits, Guinea-pigs and Birds. We are also planning to introduce chickens which will hopefully result in everyone having lovely free range eggs for breakfast.
