The location was convenient.
Dislikes:
First impressions not that good. We felt intimidated by the cluster of 'locals' blocking the bar/serving area when trying to check in. Based on that we dined elsewhere in the evening.
Response from The Carpenters Arms:
Many thanks for leaving a review and I am really sorry you felt like that on your arrival. We are a local village pub with rooms and understand your view on check in and we are building a seperate room and restaurant entrance in the new year. Again thank you for your comments as they all help to improve our service

Every day tons of detergent and millions of gallons of water are used to wash towels that have been used only once. Please decide for yourself! A towel on the rack means “I’ll use it again.” A towel in the bath or shower means “Please exchange.” Thank you
