Dislikes:
Only negative was the decoration in the bedroom was a little tired, and the room noisy due to being on the main road, but that was unavoidable

On arrival I was given a single room even though I had booked a double. I booked two rooms, one for me and one for my daughter, but was not initially given adjoining rooms, even though the next room was vacant, which I was eventually given. Despite it being a very hot day the radiator to the room was turned on. The sink plug did not work. Why cannot see what I am typing into this box???? Read less

All of our 14 bedrooms have been recently stylishly refurbished including all new beds in all fourteen bedrooms (December 2011); the soft, contemporary colours of the bar and restaurant have been extended to the rooms creating calm, welcoming spaces which immediately offer comfort to any weary guest. There are TVs in all the rooms and free wireless internet throughout the premises. The hotel bedrooms at The Chiltern offer a quiet rural base both for business visitors seeking a haven from the stresses of the office and for intrepid explorers of the Chilterns looking for somewhere to relax after the rigours of local tourist attractions.
And, of course, staying at The Chiltern means you don't have to go out in search of good cuisine: everything you'll need to eat and drink is right to hand! The dining room at The Chiltern manages to be bright and airy on a summer’s day and warm and cosy on a winter’s eve.
