"Needs a face lift"
This hotel is in a lovely village and is a quaint looking building. Inside it's tired and not overly welcoming. The carpets are stained and threadbare and the rooms accessed only by narrow, steep stairs. The booking showed the location as Huntington but it is several kilometers from there - actually in a small village called Houghton.
The wifi only works downstairs and even then, only in the morning! Read less

Response from Three Horseshoes Inn:
Since being here we have refurbished we
the rooms so it was fortunate you didn't stay before. As we have asked from previous guests we would much rather you spoke to us than writing a potentially damaging review afterwards. We all work very hard to make our guests comfortable. It definitely states we are in Houghton !!!!! & it is an Inn not a hotel !!!!

Lovely 17th Century country inn just 200 yards from the river in the historic and picturesque village of Houghton, 2 miles from St. Ives (pretty riverside town) and Huntingdon (historic market town) and just 20/25 minutes from Cambridge. We have 2 rooms, very comfortable king sized beds, flat screen tv in each room & hospitality tray. A good hearty breakfast is included in room rates and we try to locally source food wherever possible.

An excellent base for business or for leisure with some of the following attractions just a stone's throw away - Cambridge, Ely, The Imperial War Museum at Duxford (approx 20/25 minutes), The American Cemetry. We have free WIFI internet access for your added convenience at no extra charge.
It is also an idyllic base to explore the area or enjoy over 26 miles of signposted walks on the Ouse Valley Way that runs through the village. One day coarse fishing licences available.

The village also boats a convenience shop, post office, antiques shop, gift shop & hairdresser as well
