Second time of staying at the Cheesewring, both visits were great. Gary and Marcia (Landlords) made us very welcome. The food is excellent with generous(perhaps too generous)portions. It is a pub with lots of atmosphere. Be aware though, there is usually live music on a Saturday, and our room was directly above the music. That did not bother us at all as it was rather nice to be 'serenaded' in our beds. Read less

From check-in to check-out nothing was too much trouble for the Landlord and his staff, with a friendly efficient attitude throughout.

The location is superb is you are looking for a break away from everything ‘on top of a moor’, with ‘free-ranging’ sheep, cattle and hor Read less

The full English breakfast was superb. The bar / restaurant food is very reasonable priced, properly cooked in a reasonable time. Rooms are clean, efficient and very spacious for the money paid.
Dislikes:
The Cheesewring hotel punches above its weight with service, quality and price, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and I am delighted it is still going strong after 25 years!
