The Finnygook is a 15th century coaching Inn that is wonderfully located with stunning views across the Lynher and Tamar rivers and only minutes from the east Cornish coast. On certain Mondays in the winter months we are closed, and therefore accommodation is not available for that night. If staying with us on a Sunday evening a continental breakfast is provided in your room for Monday morning. Normal breakfast time is 8.30am till 9.30am.

It was only a 10 minute drive to Raleigh .
Dislikes:
We liked everything but the rooms had just been decorated so needed snagging. Would also recommend teaspoons with the tea and coffee facilities as nothing available to stir drink with .

Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order, seemed you could have the full whack of any smaller combinations of your choice.
Dislikes:
It was busy in the bar when we arrived for dinner and we had to wait a considerable time before we were served. Had to ask twice for someone to come and take our order.

"Ideal location for attending Royal Naval establishment"
We were attending a pass out parade at nearby RN Raleigh. The welcome was good but the service in the bar when we were having an evening meal could have been better. The quality and quantity of food was excellent. The guest rooms were being refurbished and we were allocated the last two rooms which had yet to be done. The hall carpet and decor was poor but I assume this will be undertaken in the refurbishment works. The bar had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was awesome. Great views. Read less

Completely renovated in October 2009, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, combined with a light and fresh décor. There are no pool tables or fruit machines, just newspapers and books to read as you enjoy a real log fire. You could even re-discover the art of conversation!

There are also five bedrooms, most en-suite, ideal for coastal walkers or for short breaks to explore this beautiful corner of Cornwall. Here at the Finnygook we have five simply decorated rooms, most en-suite, all providing a comfortable place rest your head and recharge your batteries.

When it comes to location, the Finnygook Inn is incredibly privileged. Perched above the south east Cornish coast in the picturesque village of Crafthole with stunning views of the river Lynher estuary with the Tamar as a backdrop. In the other direction it is only a short stroll to huge views along Cornwall’s south coast. A great way to work up an appetite or even walk off too much lunch!
