Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit salad, cerials etc, and a well cooked, tasty breakfast. Nice to have table service rather than a 'help yourself' bar.
The help and support of the staff when my wife was ill was exceptional. Would definitely stay again! Read less

This beautiful newly renovated 18th Century Coaching Inn is located in the historic market and old Westmorland county assize town of Brough in Cumbria in the Eden Valley. It is close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy reach of the Lakes. The Inn used to serve as a stopover for coaches running between Scotland and Carlisle to York and the South. The Inn has been the subject of a total restoration it to its former glory. The luxurious bedrooms and suites and sumptuous en-suite bathrooms compliment our AA Rosette winning food. Guests are assured of the warmest of welcomes.

All our rooms have luxury ensuite bathrooms with Villeroy and Boch fittings and supplied with “Bath House” toiletries, bathrobes, a minibar, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, access to free Enet and Wi-Fi and parking.

The Bar offers an excellent selection of premium beers, lagers and ciders and traditional cask conditioned ales with a collection of fine single malt whiskys. The Georgian Restaurant provides a relaxing environment for those of our guests who prefer a quieter atmosphere and the main restaurant is a lovely example of plain Georgian elegance. Our two menus include traditional Inn dishes as well as a full seasonal à la carte menu and caters for even the most discerning diner. Our wine list is small but comprehensive and are reasonably priced. The house wines are a excellent.
