The location of the hotel is fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been renovated in a very clever way to enhance it's Victorian splendour while providing a modern feel
Dislikes:
The mattress on the bed was hard and a bit lumpy. The only downside to a lovely hotel.

Excellent Food. Very pleasant lounge and dining room
Dislikes:
Our initial request for breakfast 30 minutes early was met with an unhelpful attitude. In the end the staff gave us an early breakfast (7.45am) and were bery friendly.

Calder house is an imposing victorian 16 bedroom hotel on the west coast of cumbria.
Originally a former girls boarding school calder house has retained many of its orginal features.
All rooms are ensuite and have all the amenties, tv, tea/cofee making facalities, hairdryer, iron and wireless internet.
Wine and dine in our beautiful Victorian dining room overlooking Seascale beach and enjoy spectacular views of our western coastline.
