"Lovely friendly relaxed and good food"
We knew The Bear from visits mainly at Christmas time a few times and always loved the atmosphere and food and it did not disappoint, even if has changed hands the welcome was really good, did not manage to get the name of the young guy, but he was very friendly and very helpful and could not do enough for us. We had reserved a table thankfully as overheard other people asking but were fully booked. There was a great choice in food and did not disappoint and the best chips ever had! Read less

The location of the Bear is perfect
Dislikes:
The staff were initially unhelpful and did not seem to know how to check us in. The hotel and our room in particular was very cold and in spite of the heating being on, did not warm up.
