It was a 2 night 'mystery' break organised for my husband's birthday and included our Golden Retriever dog. We wanted to go on the 'Charlotte Bronte' hike to Stanage Edge (6 miles) and the 'Drowned Villages and Dambusters hike (9.5 miles). Our dog is at the centre of our lives, so we only choose places where we know he will be welcomed too. Read less

The Plough was attractively decorated throughout, with huge bowls of fresh flowers looking delightful in the public rooms. There were different friendly people serving us during our stay.
Dislikes:
On Sunday night, the menu choice was a bit restricted and nouvelle cuisine isn't filling enough for people who have been hiking out on the moors all day.
