Walked from Ivybridge on torrential rain and howling wind, arrived soaked and cold. Greeted with a friendly welcome and the landlord even tumble-dryed all our wet clothes (which was basically the contents of our rucksacks!). Lovely evening meal, comfy warm bed and hearty breakfast to send us on our way. Read less

Our break in the Tradesmans Arms was exactly what we were looking for. A small and simple Dartmoor pub close to the edge of civilisation (!) which was genuinely both human and dog friendly, clearly used and enjoyed by the local community. Good, well kept, local real ale and delicious pub grub in generous portions. Read less
