We booked King Room for 2 nights. The room was excellent - good size and very comfortable. We were given a warm welcome by the owners, who made sure everything was as we wanted throughout our stay. The breakfasts and evening meal that we had were substantial and very good. We will definitely be returning here next time we come to Lynton. Read less

We were made more than welcome by Jane and Nick and on arrival when we ordered our first pint it was paid for by the house. The hosts could not do enough.

Built on the edge of Hollerday Hill, on the road to the Valley of Rocks, the Sandrock is an Edwardian building featuring a fully licensed bar and restaurant, free WIFI and private parking.

With stunning views of the surrounding countryside, the rooms include a flat screen freeview television, an alarm clock radio and hairdryers, tea & coffee making facilities and toiletries are also provided.

In the morning breakfast is served in the restaurant. The menu includes a traditional full English breakfast along with a variety of other options.

In the bar guests can enjoy a selection of “Real Ales” (we are in the CAMRA “Good Beer Guide”) and a selection of ciders, wines and spirits. The guests may also enjoy the views from the bar/restaurant terrace or garden.

The Sandrock is set within an acre of sloping gardens and it is just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Lynton and the South West coastal path is just a short walk away. The village is home to the famous cliff railway that runs between Lynton and Lynmouth.
