Bridge House is a small Bed & Breakfast on a working Farm located in the peaceful village of South Brent, located on the outskirts of Dartmoor, Devon. South Brent is a picturesque village located in the valley of the River Avon next to the Devon Expressway. When you arrive you will be welcomed and think you are in the middle of Dartmoor when in fact you are only about one mile from Marley Head junction on the A38. We arrived to the warmest of welcomes with a Devon cream tea. Throughout our stay we enjoyed a definitely full English breakfast and generous evening meals. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent with lashings of hot water and a large separate lounge is available at all times for guests. Donna and Dave made our stay so memorable with their generosity of spirit - a real tonic. Read less

I have never stayed which such friendly welcoming people. My short stay with Donna and David was so memorable and I will definitely be visiting again. Everything was perfect, the room was spacious, comfy bed, lots of choice for breakfast but the best part of my stay was definitely the company, Donna and David could not do more for me, they are both such special people, and not forgetting a very friendly, sweet dog. Oh and I got the place on the course! Read less

South Brent is a delightful village on edge of Dartmoor.
Bridge House offers 2 ensuite rooms available for double, twin and single occupancy.
Pack lunches and evening meals are available by prior arrangement.
Evening meal £6 each, Packed lunch with a flask top up if you have one £4 each
Ideally situated to enjoy all that beautiful Dartmoor has to offer. Dartmoor National Park covers an area of 368 square miles - the largest and wildest area of open country in southern England. Throughout the year Dartmoor is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit, with deep wooded gorges, beautiful lake-like reservoirs and tumbling rocky rivers.
You'll love the farmers markets full of quality local produce and be inspired by the richness of Dartmoor's heritage, wildlife and legends. With many activities on offer including walking, fishing and horse riding, you can effortlessly ease into Dartmoor's delights and create pleasant memories of your stay.
Explore further afield during your stay with us and you will find Tavistock’s historic high streets, or Chagford’s village square, nooks and crannies of Widecombe, close on our door step is Totnes, Dartmouth Coastal walks.
We are situated in a valley where more often than not we enjoy views of foxes,deer and a whole host of wild birds and of course our farm animals from the farmhouse and outside sitting area. Not forgetting Donna's homemade cakes and scones and David's unlimited tea and coffee and games from our working collie dog (Rush).
