We didn't have to travel to obtain an evening meal and the young staff were very friendly
Dislikes:
We felt that even though that we had stayed at the Hotel for seven nights the owners didn't really knew that we had been there

The room was clean and in a good condition, staff were very friendly and accommodating, prices were very reasonable and breakfast was excellent.
Dislikes:
The Wi-Fi is not in all rooms and you need to request a room near the hotspot. I didn't know this when booking, I may have missed it on the website but this was a reason I chose this hotel

"Like Fawlty Towers"
Room decor was terrible, flowery pink curtains, pink squared wall paper and a blue quilt cover, very amateurish.

Music from a wedding downstairs & noisy guests afterwards kept us up til the early hours, we hadn't been informed that there was a wedding when we booked.

Room was quite dirty and desperately needs modernising, hotel management can't seem to see the flaws and aren't interested in constructive comments. Read less

Welcome to Cockhaven Manor at Bishopsteignton. This 16th Century Freehouse Inn welcomes you to our well situated hotel, that provides you with a relaxing atmospheric dining area, and well equipped accommodation.

Two function rooms are available. Our Bishop suite offers full facilities for break out groups, and is completely self-contained including its own bar and eating area. There are four-poster beds for honeymoon couples and the romantically inclined, but we also have single, twin, triple and double rooms. All are en suite with a bath or shower.

Cockhaven Manor gives you that 'out of the way' feeling and yet is only 2 miles from Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. The building originates from the sixteenth century - with a number of additions being made two hundred years later. Although it has been modernised in the 1980s, it has essentially retained its old world charm and unique character. Personal service and flexibility are the hallmarks of this independent family run hotel, and we will be happy to meet the requirements you may need.
