A lovely old 15th century inn with bags of character. It is run by a friendly couple Paul & Jacquie who have recently taken it over and make great efforts to make you feel at home. The food is very good with lots of local produce and a varied menu to suit all tastes. Comfortable rooms again with a nice mix of character & contemporary. Read less

A fabulous experience in a lovely setting
Dislikes:
A minor gripe - the portion sizes of mustard, mayo etc, served in the little Kilner jars were way too small. At least fill the pots.
Response from The Who'd Have Thought It Inn:
Many thanks, for taking the time to post your lovely review, so pleased you enjoyed your stay, we don't like the little plastic sachets of sauces which are often impossible to open, we find the mini kilner jars normally work well and we are more than happy to offer you as many pots as you need to compliment your meal. We look forward to welcoming you again
Kind regards
Paul and Jacquie

The room was lovely. Glorious setting on Dartmoor
Dislikes:
The pub is still being done up. So I am sure will be even better. But it was a chilly evening and the wood burning stoves being on would have made a difference.

The food was very good and Chris the owner a nice friendly guy, a good atmosphere
Dislikes:
Sadly, we thought the pub was quite tired with fair amount of mould on walls etc.
Also our room, lots of mould in the shower, which is so easy to clean off, also mould around velux window.
