The historic town of Sherborne is one-and-a-half miles to the west of Oborne. The origins of the town can be traced back to Roman times. Perhaps the most attractive town in Dorset and even in England, Sherborne is a delightfully sleepy place, famous for its old-world charm. You will find many individual and interesting shops along Cheap Street.
How to Find Us
A303 Wincanton exit(approx 9 miles)
The A303/A372 is the main route connecting the M3 to the M5. From either East or West, take the A303 to Wincanton. Then follow the B3145 south towards Sherborne. Ignore the first two left-hand turns signposted Oborne, but take the next left opposite the toll house. This turning has a brown sign: 'The Grange at Oborne'. Travel down this country lane for approximately one mile, the hotel is on the right-hand side.
Sherborne(approx 1.5 miles)
From Sherborne, follow the A30 towards Milborne Port and Shaftesbury. One mile out of Sherborne turn left at the Grange Hotel sign and you will find us half a mile along that road.
Waterloo Train Station(approx 115 miles)
The Grange Hotel can be reached by a direct train from London Waterloo Station to Sherborne in about 2 1/2 hours.
