Did not see any staff after booking in which was confused- I had booked for 4 nights - they only had 3 recorded - but would have overcome that if requested. Shower room needed upgrading and modernisin

"Very basic"
Arrived at 8.02 to be told they had stopped serving dinner at 8.00. No alternative offered. Room was basic and rather dirty. Found an earring on the floor from a previous occupant.… Read more

A family run hotel and pub in Wareham, Dorset offering friendly service along with traditional ales, wines and spirits and locally sourced, home cooked traditional food.

We are a local family offering a local service to our residents and customers.
Please pop in for a drink, a meal, be entertained at one of our regular events or come and stay with us. We put our customers first. We listen to you and help you find what you need. Come visit to see what we are all about:

We serve good, home cooked dishes made wherever possible from locally sourced produce. We serve a selection of real ales and lagers, and a choice of good wines and spirits all at reasonable prices.

The beer garden at the rear is heated and can be used as a smoking area if desired. There is a small but very cosy television lounge.

The restaurant to the front of the building has a bar next to it that caters for dining guests. There is a good size function room and we run weekly music and other events.

There is a games area for adults and children.

We are a local Wareham family and are creating a family-friendly atmosphere where people can relax, but also have fun and enjoy themselves. Well behaved children and dogs are very welcome.

We are local to the Purbeck Hills, the world famous Jurassic Coast an SSSI and are central to Poole, Dorchester and Swanage - all places steeped in history, with bespoke shops as well as many outdoor pursuits including sightseeing, walks, cycling, water sports etc.

We have 14 rooms comprising 3 single, 3 double, 3 twin and 3 family rooms sleeping 3- 4 and all are en-suite.

The Lawrence of Arabia suite for that special occasion.

Our rooms have been refurbished.
