We stayed 2 nights in order to visit the historic sites of Durham. It was a 45 minute walk into the city which suited us very well. Having the bar and restaurant downstairs made dining very easy, not least because the food and service were excellent. A small car park behind the building provided off-street parking. Read less

Friendly and efficient staff, excellent food, comfortable room
Dislikes:
The bathroom and shower were a bit small but they served their purpose.

Good but for potential risk of falling when getting out of shower. Nithing whatsoever to hold on to, in spite of having narrow platform round shoeer bix and relatively high step down. It needs at least one grab handle. Read less

Shower arrangement in bathroom is not ideal. Tap difficult to turn. Narrow raised platform (about 25 cms wide) around shower box could be dangerous. The step down to the bathroom floor is quite big.
