We had a seaview double. As you went up the stairs you could see that some areas needed decorating. The room was big and clean however the furniture was broke as was the hair drier and the lamp shades. The chair was worn and the shower head needs a good clean or replacing as the water trickled out. Bathroom door did not close unless locked, was quite run down as a whole.
Very loud and annoying door bell was used all through the night - am not sure why this is allowed when we were given front door keys.
Breakfast was 'continental' - i.e. cold meat, breads - not the best but not the worst. Read less

The room - old, dusty. Pigeons outside room were extremely loud!!! Other guests ringing the very loud and annoying door bell at all hours of the night. Parking was not outside the hotel.

Step through the door however and it is another world, from the elegant casino lighting, the seductive black & oak wood bar, through to the honey travertine beauty of the newly created urban house retreat spa.
Step inside this double fronted Regency Hotel and past the Bar with its seaviews and you will find yourself in the serene surroundings of our health and beauty spa. Comprising four treatment rooms, a relaxtion area, infrared sauna and steam room, The Urban House Retreat can deliver the whole pampering experiance.
At Urban House in Brighton, each of the treatment rooms is reserved for a particular activity. There is a dedicated room for facials, one for manicures and pedicures, a hydrotherapy room and a deluxe couples room.
We have a sophisticated bar which would not be out of place in the finest of drinking establishments. Enjoya glass of wine, superb cocktails or even a bottle of beer in stylish surroundings, cheerful company and leave with a warm glow. Whether for a night on the town of just up to your room.
