"Nice olde pub in the middle of a pretty village"
The staff were very welcoming. No reception area, we had to check in at the bar, which was fine. I was surprised to find that our room was located in a converted barn at the front of the property looking out over the pub front garden and near the road side! We had to keep our window shut for security reasons, which for me, made the room hot and stuffy over night. The room was pleasant, had a bit of character. The en-suite needs upgrading! We had cold showers in the morning!Breakfast excellent Read less

The staff were friendly. The pub full of character. Cooked breakfast was delicious. The village is pretty. Free parking was a bonus.
Dislikes:
The location of our room so close to the road was not ideal for us. I like to open a window, especially at night time in the warm weather. A.M. - shower water was cold, the en-suite needs upgrading.

With a roaring fire for cold winter nights and a picturesque secluded garden for long summer days, the Greyhound is a traditional English pub steeped in local history. Whether you're looking for a quick pint of local Sussex ale or a three course feast, accompanied by wine from our carefully chosen wine list, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you. And if you're looking for somewhere to have breakfast then come and join us on weekends from 9am to 11am.

At the Greyhound we use locally sourced produce to prepare our delicious food and you will find lots of choice, from classic British pub food, (try our home-made pies or Harveys battered cod), to a lighter bite. You are sure to be tempted by something on offer, maybe leaving room for our delicious homemade desserts.

As well as serving great food and drink, you can stay in our cosy Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the converted stables, or celebrate a special occasion in our private function room.

At the Greyhound there is always something going on, be it live music, quiz nights, the Bewl Barrel Race, or our monthly curry club. To find out more about what's happening check our news and events page.

Whether you come to eat, drink or stay, we look forward to welcoming you to our pub.
