Everything was great. the shower was great, there were heated towel racks, coffee and tea were available in our room, the room was beautiful, and the couple provided us with a map we used a lot.

This is so sad when People who have not enjoyed the Ambience of the Hotel they booked to stay in become upset with principles of business, they arrived early, we later put their luggage in their room, they came back 9 Hrs later and wanted to cancel with us, they booked on line which has 48 Hrs cancellation policy, Annette who was on her own charged only the first night which upset this reviewer, we were entitled to charge all 3 nights, we believe our Location did not suit them, what can you say.

We have very friendly staff always on hand to answer our visitors questions. We also have a golden retriever dog - for travellers who are missing their own pet whilst on holiday.
There are seventeen beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms all with modern en-suite facilities. All our rooms are equipped with colour televisions, DVDs, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and broadband internet connection. Wi-fi also available
The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia is situated just over 1 mile from the centre of Edinburgh. For those of you travelling by car there are parking spots all over the city centre however we can recommend using the public transport service that runs from Dalkeith Road right into the heart of the city centre every 10 minutes, only taking 10mins to get you there stress free.
We are located close to most business locations including the Edinburgh University, Royal Infirmary Hospital, E-Science Centre, Scottish Parliament and many more within the city, We aim to make your stay at the Hotel Ceilidh-Donia a home from home during your business trip, allowing you to unwind after a hard days work.Bedrooms are on 1st & 2nd floor (no lift) with one twin/double on ground floor for guests with difficulties. Free on street parking.
Situated on the ground floor of the hotel our bar takes advantage of the space found within the old Victorian building. Here we invite our guests to relax after a day of sightseeing or business to enjoy our selection of Scottish beers and whiskies.
The hotel bar is more than a place to find to refreshment. Feel free to unwind in our lounge area or outside in our landscaped garden. The bar area has a large screen television, free computer for guest use and access to the garden.
We offer Bar and Snack Food Monday - Saturday from 6 - 8pm
