Particularly brilliant was the smoothest bed linen ever experienced and incredibly comfortable beds. Loved the location and the helpful staff.
Dislikes:
Lack of wi fi or any Internet connection (had I known I wouldn't have brought my laptop.) The taps in the bathroom room sink and especially in the shower were very hard to turn on.

The hotel was in a great location, got a taxi just round the corner to go to the Castle, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Breakfast was gorgeous and hosts very friendly. The Halcyon House has fourteen bedrooms, 12 with en suite with tea/coffee, radio/intercom, central heating and a very large lounge with television and use of our very pleasant gardens.
Unfortunately we do not operate a 24 hour reception. Please advise us of your estimated arrival and checking in time. Check in is open up to 11pm, unless by prior arrangement with the hotel directly.
Special diets are catered for on prior request.
Children are welcome. Children up to 2yrs free, should they require a cot it would be £5.00 extra, from 2yrs the childs '£age' plus £5.00 for the cost of linen. After twelve years of age they shall be classed as an adult.
We are a short walk from the Playhouse Theatre and The Omni Centre which includes a multi screen cinema and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
