The Mousetrap was a lovely cosy place to hang out for the evening, with good food and some nice cocktails. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area.
Dislikes:
The room was a bit chilly, and it would have been nice to have a vegetarian breakfast.
Response from The Mousetrap Inn:
Hi Lucy, many thanks for your review. Sorry about the cold, the plumber is on it and we have just ordered additional heaters in case someone feels a bit chilly. See you again sometime.

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.
Excellent selection of beers behind the bar. And gins!
Food is great. Book a table for dinner as it gets full.
Have the bacon for breakfast.
Dislikes:
Room was a bit cold, but they very quickly fixed that with a portable heater.
Response from The Mousetrap Inn:
Hi Alex and thanks for the review. Yes, additional heaters have been ordered until the plumber gets to sort the system in 10 days time. So sorry you felt a bit chilly. Glad you could warm up with some beer and gin! The Mousetrap Inn

As a Freehouse with a well stocked cellar including regularly changing local ales, we are showcasing the best of the region’s craft ales and beers. Our barmen are passionate about their spirit and wine selection and our chefs proud of the menu that uses as many local suppliers as possible.

Rumours abound as to how the name came about (Agatha Christie is supposed to have been a guest back in the day) but what is for sure is that it has been lovingly brought up to date with a quirky interior. It is now a bustling place for locals and visitors alike.

Our Inn has 10 rooms, 3 on ground level and 7 on the first floor. We are open all day every day. Join us for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and everything in-between. We offer coffee, cakes, loose leaf teas and organic tea blends. Of course if you fancy a glass of Prosecco we can help with that one too.

Our menus vary from dawn to dusk. We can offer everything from a Full English breakfast or avocado on toast, smoothies, toasted sandwiches and salads or join us for a full three course dinner.
It goes without saying that we also do a mean Sunday Roast!

You don't have to book a table, but we do recommend it, especially for evenings and weekends: bookings@themousetrapinn.co.uk or +44 1451 820579

We all look forward seeing you soon here at The Mousetrap Inn in Bourton-on-the-Water.
