We needed an extra night stay in the area. Booked room 1.30am, everything went smoothly and managed to arrive and get in the room by 10.30am. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was great and is served up to 10.00am. Lovely village with many quaint shops, tea rooms and real feel of old England (including Motor museum).
Room was clean and comfortable, fantastic power shower (my wife now pestering me to get one at home). Roaring log fire in dining area. Read less

Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant excellent. Excellent evening meal and cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay again at The Mousetrap.
Dislikes:
Lovely stay, room very clean although a bit small (okay for one night). Shower head leaking. Not much choice of cereal or fruit juice for breakfast but cooked options excellent.

Likes:
The general good feel about the place, and its location.
Dislikes:
Just one thing here - not a dislike - but I noticed the very slow water run off from the en suite sink, some times hardly emptying at all. Needs to be investigated

From the guys behind Coffeesmith & The Cogges Kitchen in Witney, and The Rookery in Faringdon, comes an exciting new venture in the very heart of the Cotswolds. Rob & Sarah Tudgey have partnered with the freeholder, Formula 1 stalwart Mike Gascoyne and his artist partner Silvi Schaumloeffel to reinvigorate this 10 bedroom Cotswold Inn in Bourton on the Water. We've appointed the charming Mr Francis Fellows as Landlord & Host and he and his team will welcome you in.
Rumours abound as to how the name came about (Agatha Christie is supposed to have been a guest back in the day) but what is for sure is that it has been lovingly brought up to date with signature Coffeesmith style and hospitality. Look out for Mike’s quirky F1 memorabilia and Silvi’s contemporary oil paintings adorn the Cotswold stone walls.
As a Freehouse with a brand new cellar, we are showcasing the best of the region’s craft ales and beers as well as an interesting wine list and a menu that uses as many local suppliers as possible- think Cacklebean Eggs, Jesse Smith Butchery, Kelmscott Pork and Coln Valley Smoked Salmon.
As experienced café operators, we wanted to include some of the best features from our other sites too, so we are open for food all day every day. Join us for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and we offer our popular Coffeesmith coffee, cakes, loose leaf teas and organic tea blends from the Rookery as well as our fresh inviting décor with lots of greenery and calm colours. It goes without saying that we also do a mean Sunday Roast!
Bourton on the Water is famous for attracting hordes of tourists to its picturesque vistas, but we feel that a high quality, reliable dining pub has been sadly lacking until now. Our aim is to welcome everyone in- locals, tourists, dogs and children are all catered for.
With the downstairs now transformed, we will begin to revamp our 10 bedrooms during the winter.
