Mu husband and I came for a 2 day break in the Cotswold and stayed one night in this B&B. The B&B is very well kept and nicely done up. The next day we went on a hike around the area of Bourton on the water and visited some cute villages. When we got back Frank was happy for us to change our muddy clothes in the B&B, even though we had checked out in the mornig Read less
Likes:
Loved the B&B woth it's warm and homely feel. Frank the owner was very warm and welcoming. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It positively added to our experience of the Cotswolds.
Dislikes:
No, not really. We found the bed a bit soft but we normally sleep on hard bed at home so find most bed soft.

Everything was good , but breakfast set up was a little strange
Dislikes:
Breakfast was a bit weird. About 10 rooms but if fully booked with 20 guests could have been a bit hectic. Guests were expected to toast their own toast with a 4 slice toaster on the bar.

From the guys behind Coffeesmith & The Cogges Kitchen in Witney, and The Rookery in Faringdon, comes an exciting new venture in the very heart of the Cotswolds. Rob & Sarah Tudgey have partnered with the freeholder, Formula 1 stalwart Mike Gascoyne and his artist partner Silvi Schaumloeffel to reinvigorate this 10 bedroom Cotswold Inn in Bourton on the Water. We've appointed the charming Mr Francis Fellows as Landlord & Host and he and his team will welcome you in.
Rumours abound as to how the name came about (Agatha Christie is supposed to have been a guest back in the day) but what is for sure is that it has been lovingly brought up to date with signature Coffeesmith style and hospitality. Look out for Mike’s quirky F1 memorabilia and Silvi’s contemporary oil paintings adorn the Cotswold stone walls.
As a Freehouse with a brand new cellar, we are showcasing the best of the region’s craft ales and beers as well as an interesting wine list and a menu that uses as many local suppliers as possible- think Cacklebean Eggs, Jesse Smith Butchery, Kelmscott Pork and Coln Valley Smoked Salmon.
As experienced café operators, we wanted to include some of the best features from our other sites too, so we are open for food all day every day. Join us for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and we offer our popular Coffeesmith coffee, cakes, loose leaf teas and organic tea blends from the Rookery as well as our fresh inviting décor with lots of greenery and calm colours. It goes without saying that we also do a mean Sunday Roast!
Bourton on the Water is famous for attracting hordes of tourists to its picturesque vistas, but we feel that a high quality, reliable dining pub has been sadly lacking until now. Our aim is to welcome everyone in- locals, tourists, dogs and children are all catered for.
With the downstairs now transformed, we will begin to revamp our 10 bedrooms during the winter.
