We were greeted by a very personable young man who showed us to room No.1. It was spacious and clean and the en suite bath/shower room was obviously recently refurbished.
The rather old-fashioned furniture lent it all a rather cosy charm.
After a good nights sleep in the comfy twin-beds we found a very good continental-style help-yourself breakfast in the lovely dining room with a large choice available, much fresher and more imaginative than the old'eggs'n'bacon'formula. Read less

Quiet location but stll only a short walk to the town centre. Spacious room and good choice at breakfast.

The place is a slightly old and tatty but it was very clean which is number one for me and the young guy who welcomed us was very friendly and had organised the off road parking as promised. I had a good nights sleep and our room even had a bath which was a luxury - the breakfast was great and you can have as much as you like - again served with a smile by the lovely guy. Read less

The person who checked us in/out was very friendly and helpful. The room is basic, but had everything we needed for a good stay, and the breakfast is continental only, but fine - plenty of choice!
Dislikes:
The only downside was that the breakfast had toast, but no jams or spreads, so we could only have toast and butter! The pastries were quite dry too. Otherwise all good...lots of options available.

If you are looking for Budget priced Bed & Breakfast accommodation Kingsmuir will amaze you!! Not only is it provided in a stunning example of Cheltenham Regency architecture but the self service buffet style breakfast table offers you a wide choice of fruit, cereals, meats, eggs, cheses, breads, teas and coffees and you may eat as much as you wish!

Built in the early 1800's KINGSMUIR is a delightful Regency house set in the leafy Pittville area of Cheltenham. During the 50 years of its present ownership it has undergone extensive but sympathetic modernisation retaing the beautiful Adam style moulded ceilings and marble fireplaces originally installed. Now meeting all modern fire regulations with all the guest rooms having full en suite facilities (exception is the family room with en suite toilet and hand basin only with sole use of large fully equipped bathroom on same floor) the necessary enclosures have been designed to blend with the original architectural features Although the owners are no longer resident on site we strive to continue the standards of hospitable, warm and friendly budget accommodation, built up over the years, offered to both working and holiday guests many of whom annualy return fore more!

Overlooking a small lawned and treelined park redolent with daffodils, crocus and almond blossom in Springtime, and with glorious views of the Cotswold escarpment from the upper stories at the rear, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the racecourse with the expanse of Pittville Park with its boating lake and famous Pump Rooms on its doorstep.

Spacious Bedrooms all have small colour TV's, radio/alarms, Hairdryers and Tea/Coffee making facilities with simple modern en suite bath/ shower room facilities. (Plenty of hand rgulated hot water but no gold taps or marble surfaces) Furnishings match the house, some almost as old as the house itself but mainly (like the owners!) of the 1930's, serviceable but not modern!
