Considered by many to be Tolkiens inspiration for the "Prancing Pony" in Lord of the rings, the Bell Inn is a fine example of a traditional coaching Inn set in the historic Cotswolds. Having been taken over in June 2015, the pub and guest rooms are in safe hands and offer great service and quality accommodation. The pub offers meals a great selection of food, including lunches and evening meals which compliment the wide range of drinks including a selection of real ales.

Great to have a live band playing in the courtyard on Saturday night.
Dislikes:
We found the staff sullen; never a smile from any staff member. A good morning greeting not found here and we felt that our custom was more of a hindrance. Re-educate staff on cleaning and hospitality

On a sunny day why not sit in the beer garden and soak up the sunshine in peaceful surroundings.

The accommodation is of a high stand, spacious, airy and recently redecorated. Guests have free wifi, TV, hospitality trays and more.

Pets are allowed in some rooms so please check with us before you book. We charge £10 per pet per visit.
