Likes:
Comfortable room; great view of St Mary's and its yew trees. The inn has a sociable 'pub-like' atmosphere and an attractive interior. Staff all friendly and helpful. Food is all well prepared.
Dislikes:
Just one negative: portion sizes at dinner. A fundamentalist who believes a meal should not only please the eye and the palate, but also satisfy the belly will feel one important box remains unticked.

"A restful stay but disappointing in parts"
A group of charity fundraising walkers stayed at The Falcon to recover before continuing to walk a further 15 miles the following day. Arranging the stay had been faultless and Neil was prompt, friendly and generous in donating our lunch costs to the charity. However, we found the hotel a little disappointing. My shower wasn't switched on, the evening meal was slow and v bland (there was also none/very little spinach in the linguine) and the coffee machine hadn't been switched on for breakfast! Read less
Likes:
The room was fairly clean (apart from large cobwebs above door of the shower room!). The selection of drinks etc in the evening was good.
Dislikes:
We all had very poor showers, one varied vastly in temperature, the others weak and mine needed switching on.There were no pastries at breakfast (very poor), coffee was slow and toast was basic sliced
