Good, spacious room with a comfortable bed (ideally stay on the upper floor), we stayed on the ground floor and had impact noise from above - not crazy, I'm just sensitive to it.
Dislikes:
A more relaxed bar area, it is a pub at heart, with a lot of space for dining tables - the bar area is small & over-lit at night, not relaxing - sofas and soft lighting near the fire would be great.

The rooms where first class and the public rooms well thought out. The food both breakfast and dinner were very good and the all the staff welcoming and helpful
