"A friendly hotel ideally suited to its purpose as tourist accommodation in Snowdonia."
I was visiting an old family friend and needed somewhere reasonably close to both Blaneau Ffestiniog and Criccieth. I saw the Grapes on-line and had no hesitation in making a reservation. The website told me all I needed to know - photo's of the rooms (I could choose the one I wanted) and also of the dining facilities. I had dinner there - which was excellent - and a cooked breakfast the following morning - also enjoyable. Read less

The Manager on arrival was very friendly and helpful. The room was ideal - rather spartan at first sight - but warm with an excellent bathroom, television and morning tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided
Dislikes:
Nothing.

Likes:
The accommodation was very good, the food was excellent and very friendly staff.

Also easy access to local attractions, meeting and interacting with some of the locals plus other visitors was great
Dislikes:
As this was our first visit into North Wales we enjoyed every minute of it and there isn't really anything we can think of that we didn't like.
Even the rainy weather wasn't an obstacle.
