That the Moelwyn manages to strike the right balance of a warm and friendly atmosphere whilst at the same time time not being too intrusive of your stay. The foods not bad either

"Excellent base for a North Wales holiday"
We both enjoyed the Moelwyn very much. Great location in a lovely village, handy for both bus and train. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was very good, with a special mention for the perfect scrambled eggs. The room was clean and airy with plentiful supplies of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only negative point for us was that our room, 2, didn't have a shower. Overall a smashing hotel that I'd recommend to anybody Read less

All the rooms are individually furnished and have sea and/or mountain views. We offer a four-poster room and many of the rooms retain original features and period furnishings.
Tea and coffee facilities and televisions are in all rooms, Quality breakfasts are served in the dining room with glorious sea views.

We have a Restaurant and Residential license.

With a stylish yet informal atmosphere, the restaurant has established an enviable reputation for the quality of our cuisine and boasts beautiful views.

Situated in the beautiful coastal resort of Criccieth, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park , Moelwyn is but a stones throw from the sea and enjoys some of the finest uninterrupted coastal and mountain views on the North Wales Coast.

Ideally placed for hill and coastal walking, we are also surrounded by heritage and castle sites and are only a few miles from the popular Italianate village of Portmeirion.
