Food very good. Breakfast was excellent in the morning - best full English I've had for a long time! Friendly and accommodating staff.
Dislikes:
No where to dispose of dog waste - a dog or litter bin on site would help.

"Not good value"
Room was described as "suite" of which it was not. Rather small and very "dusty". Bathroom ok but bath in need of a good clean. Toiletries where bottles on the wall so if you required soap in the bath it was a no go. We had our own so not a problem. Restaurant choice was good but had to return one meal as the meat was raw. It came back just the same a while later with veg etc now gone cold. Waitress just said "oh, sorry" Mentioned to landlord when paying in the morning and he just said the same. Read less

"Lovely Location - Bathroom facilities were a health hazard"
The room was very pleasant on arrival - Nice decor and plenty of space. The bathroom however was absolutely disgusting and we were shocked the room had past inspection. To top off the state of the bathroom there was a small collection of woodlice and millipede's crawling on the floor to great us in the morning.
Im not sure how the conversion had passed any form of building regulation do the lack of ventilation and state of the damp/mouldy condition we were greeted with. Read less

The bathroom however was absolutely disgusting and we were shocked the room had past inspection. Thick mould evident allover the bathroom - not an exaggeration!

The Woolpack Inn has seven recently refurbished and beautifully appointed double en-suite bedrooms named aptly after game birds. With a heavy emphasis on home comfort each of our rooms is stylishly decorated and comes complete with:

• King size or twin beds;
• Quality bedding and fluffy towels;
• Luxurious Bramley toiletries;
• Tea & coffee making facilities;
• Fridge with fresh milk;
• Hair dryer;
• Flat screen television;
• WiFi internet access;
• Gun cabinet;
• Safe available on request;
• A hearty full English breakfast (included in the room rate).

Our kitchen team works hard to prepare a fresh, exciting and seasonal menu. The menu regularly changes, keeping the core classics and we offer a range of seasonal specials. The chefs make the most of our surroundings and our menu boasts a vast range of local produce, from local game, to trout caught in pristine chalk streams to watercress from nearby beds. In addition to our seasonal menus, we also offer a range of traditional Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

We offer lunch and dinner seven days a week as well as a range of freshly prepared bar snacks. You can choose to dine in our bar area, 50-cover restaurant or heated outside patio. We also have a private dining room which seats up to 14 and has its own garden. It is available for all styles of party.

Our bar is the perfect place to relax and sample some of the great drinks we proudly serve. We are big believers in top quality real ales and offer our very own Ramshead brewed by the Marston’s brewery as well as Palmer’s Copper Ale brewed in Dorset. Our third pump is reserved for local guest ales. Our wine list has a broader geographic reach, and with the assistance of a range of suppliers, we have an excellent global list complemented by our ‘Fine Wine’ selection for those looking for something a little extra special.

Shooting parties, dogs, families, walkers and cyclists will all find a warm and friendly welcome.
