Was great to be able to stay in such an old beautiful cottage, and the decor matched the age of the cottage perfectly. The breakfast was yummy and a good variety.
Dislikes:
Only downside was how thin the walls were we could hear people next door talking and their television.We also didn't know that our bathroom would be on the landing,as the website states it was ensuite

Thank you very much for your comment, unfortunately we cannot do anything about original cottage walls,also our website does state that Jasmine Flower room has private batroom, as you have probably noticed the room is too small to have bathroom in it, that is why it is our cheapest room, we are glad to hear you have enjoyed your stay with us though

we are based in the middle of the Brockenhurst village, which is situated in the middle of the New Forest National Park and this is what our website says, the room prises are no different to other places in brockenhurst, our restaurant serve gourment food and the prises are comparable to all restaurants in the new forest, the only places that are cheaper are local pubs,

The Thatched Cottage is managed by the Matysik family, who personally ensure continuous improvements to the services rendered to their guests.
They have over 115 years' combined experience with international hotel chains, which they will endeavor to share with you.

The five double rooms are individually decorated, with lace bedlinen on Sleepeze beds, antiques, objets d'art from around the world and an abundance of fresh and dried flower displays.
