Our room was clean and tidy, but it could have done with a bit of a refresh and whilst it couldn't be described as 5*, the welcome and service we got from the landlord's and their staff definitely was!
And breakfast was the best we have had anywhere in a long time, compliments definitely to the chef! Read less

Friendly welcome, good service, excellent food. Will definitely visit again, even if it's just for the breakfast!
Dislikes:
There was a Halloween party on in the pub below our room which we didn't mind, but if we had been hoping for a quiet stay this definitely wouldn't have helped!

The location. The village of Emsworth is lovely, especially the mill ponds. It Was convenient for accessing Chichester.
Dislikes:
The Price and quality didn't match. The room was very small. Some things were broken e.g. shaving light. They weren't prepared to provide breakfast half an hour early.

This grade II listed building is ideally situated in the centre of Emsworth, only a few miles from Portsmouth and Chichester. The Crown Hotel is an old Coaching Inn dating back to the sixteenth century and has been sympathetically furnished, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

We have seven en-suite bedrooms that are all furnished with flat screen television, Free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have a Twin room, and a Double, that share a seperate bathroom. Check-in commences at 3pm daily until 10.00pm Monday - Saturday and until 8.00pm on Sundays. Ample parking is available. We do accept guests travelling with dogs but there is a £10 per night charge for this. Our kitchen is open lunchtimes and evenings and all our dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. We use local suppliers for our meat, game, fish and vegetables. We also have a good sized function room which is suitable for business meetings or parties.

The Crown faces the town square of Emsworth, an historic port that still retains its attractive harbour side location. Originally built as a coaching inn for the main thoroughfare to Brighton, The Crown has long been a focal point of the town's life and history.
