Dislikes: Expensive for what ultimately is a bed for the night. Breakfast can't really be classed as anything - it's just cereal and juice

"Avoid This Place"
Bedroom was adequate. Bathroom was unclean, unhygienic and in need of a deep clean The promised continental breakfast did not arrive. There was no one to complain to in the morning. They charge you upfront and despite offering an opportunity to answer my complaint via e mail they have ignored this - indicative of the lack of care, Not worth the price charged. Read less

Our team will give you a warm welcome on arrival in the bar area. We are very proud to present our fine wine list supplied by Berry Brothers & Rudd (London, distributing centre in Basingstoke) as well as Cavsite Wines (Carte Blanche Wines), they also feature their wines at the wine shop, located in the Newlyns Farm Shop, just around the corner from the Derby Inn. Our Ales are supplied by Andwell Brewing Company, owned by Adam Komrower, also business partner of the Derby Inn. Needless to day the ales are very well kept and of a very high standard, the main ales available are King John, Resolute, Gold Muddler. We are also selling the Andwell Pilsner, refreshing and perfect for any occasion. Local ales are also on offer which makes our selection very unique. Our ingredients are of the freshest and as locally sourced as possible! But to keep things interesting we incorporate ingredients from around the world! Our friendly team of staff are here to help so if you have any special requests don’t hesitate to ask! Again if you have any intolerance or allergies, please do let us know! Our food offering is traditional British pub dishes and we endeavour to use as many local ingredients as possible. We source our beef from the Newlyns Farm Shop, on our doorstep, and we butcher the hind quarter of the animal on site. We take pride in the meat quality on the menu i.e. Rib Eye, Rump Steaks and Sunday Roast Beef. Our 3 letting rooms are functional, modern and spacious. They are all ensuite with the normal amenities expected of letting accommodation.
