Likes:
Comfort of the bedrooms. Friendliness of the staff. Setting and location of the hotel, with village amenities in walking distance.
Dislikes:
Hotel currently undergoing renovation. The bedrooms were updated, though the hallways, bar and dining room were very tired and dated, which we weren't expecting.

Likes:
Bedroom pleasantly decorated. Nice gardens with outdoor pool. Owners trying hard to turn hotel around and very friendly (old house seriously in need of renovation)
Dislikes:
Rough seagrass carpeting in the bedroom - painful underfoot - a real turnoff. Lack of hooks on doors for clothes, no mirror in bedroom for make-up/contact lens. Toilet very close to basin.

The Hotel boasts 15 comfortable rooms en-suite and a lift to all floors with some wheelchair access. A full heated outdoor swimming pool is available throughout the Summer and there is a large accessible, free car park. Dogs are welcome - please advise when booking. Comfortable well equipped individual rooms in a wonderful setting at an affordable price.

Today, the New Forest is still home to many wild deer and perhaps more famously the wild New Forest ponies, donkeys, cows and pigs which wander completely freely and have the right of way. There are many sleepy, picturesque villages tucked away with traditional thatched cottages. Sway is one of these.

The New Forest is a genuine walker's paradise with many circular routes within its 90,000 acres. There are many picnic and toilet facilities, all carefully sited to allow visitors safe and easy access to a variety of forest landscapes. The New Forest is also a fantastic place for cycling with miles of traffic free tracks leading you right into the heart of the forest with few hills to worry about.

Try exploring the forest at different times of year and at different times of day. The forest is most atmospheric at dusk – you also stand the best chance of seeing deer, bats and nightjars. However, please drive carefully as animals tend to wander onto our roads at night
