I stayed for one night with a friend and found The Westgate to be a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming despite me being early. Easy check in and I was directed to my room with plenty of detail given regarding the keys, room, bathroom, entrance/exit and the process for breakfast. The room was rather quirky with its design which was a pleasant surprise, very clean and warm with enough facilities for the overnight stay. Read less

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally comfortable considering the price and the location was perfect being at the top of the highstreet.
Dislikes:
As a tea addict, a few more teabags and milk in the room would have been lovely.

the pub was very quiet and centrally located
Dislikes:
the place needs some serious repairs its quite run down but the rooms are large. the kettle plug did not reach the power point so we had to put it on the floor to make a cuppa

I had an amazing weekend, despite the weather on saturday! I was there for my friends' band at O'Niells, they went down a storm so I was well happy :D. A few minutes walk to a lovely comfy bed in a cosy hotel was just what I needed after all the chaos down there lol. A yummy breakfast next morning [and being allowed to go back to bed for a couple of hours afterwards!]was the pick-me-up I needed for my poor tired head :p Spent Sunday wandering around the city in the sunshine.. many thanks to all!
