The Talbot has been welcoming guests for over 400 hundered years, with its black and white timbered front, the oldest part dating back to around 1550.

The Talbot's oak panelled dining room serves the best of food and fine wine, combined with good old fashioned service is an experience worth having.Presented with the Visit Britain Breakfast Award for the most important meal of the day in recognition of the quality and choice, service and hospitality where the manager, chef and staff have gone the extra mile to ensure that your breakfast will exceed expectations. The well stocked bar with its log fire and award winning cask ales (Good Beer Guide 10th Year) and over 15 wines by the glass is just the place to meet for lunch or just a coffee.

We have six and a half character bedrooms offering a high standard of comfort.
