"What a little gem"
Staying to visit an event fairly close by and much prefer a pub to a faceless chain hotel, we stayed two nights and had dinner as well as breakfast. Not a flash room but spacious and absolutely fine and spotless and we were very well fed and watered by an excellent young team (although we were quite surprised not to see the publican/manager on a Friday or Saturday evening). Food and service in the restaurant were good. Hard working friendly staff.
Dislikes:
Tiny, grubby room. So small there was no room for a chair or a suitcase stand. Shower so small you bang your elbows on the sides. The area around the pipes and toilet needed a good scrubbing.
