"Lovely hotel in a lovely village in the beautiful Highlands"
The hotel is on the edge of the village just a few mins walk to the shop/post office and pub. Our room is warm, large, quiet and has a lovely view, the bed is a very comfortable super king. The bathroom is dated but functions very well. Breakfast is cereal, choice of
cooked items, lots of toast with a selection of preserves and lots of tea or coffee. We only had dinner there once, it was very nice. The garden is very big, bordered by a fast flowing river, its very quiet. Would recommend it. Read less
Likes:
We loved how quiet it was at the hotel, no outside noise.
Dislikes:
We were the only guests for 2 nights and there was only another two guests the other nights, we would have preferred it to be a bit busier than that but it didn't spoil out stay.

The Lodge is ideal for hunting, shooting & fishing parties - Dinner, B & B rates available.

Dalrachney Lodge is a former Hunting Lodge dating from 1845 set in 3 acres of land with the River Dulnain running alongside. The Lodge is approached via the tree lined riverside driveway.

Following a change of ownership in Spring 2013 a considerable refurbishment programme is being undertaken and has already seen the 1850s Hunters Lodge completely refurbished with 2 new en-suite bedrooms and self-catering accommodation.

The Superior first floor rooms are being upgraded. Some have Savoir beds with a zip and link configuration. Most have Brinkhaus duvets. They also have Bang & Olufsen televisions with Freeview. All rooms have Egyptian cotton linen and Floris toiletries.

The Hotel is situated in the historical village of Carrbridge described by Queen Victoria as "the jewel of the North". There is, in the museum, at Fochabers, a dog cart used by King George V during his stay at Dalrachney Lodge. The property retains its original pitched pine woodwork and high corniced ceilings. The new furnishings are in keeping with the character of the Lodge. In the cooler months log fires in the delightful Lounge and cosy Bar-Bistro provide a warm welcome.

Situated within the Cairngorm National Park in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Dalrachney is an ideal base for a memorable break. Enjoy breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and numerous year-round outdoor activities including mountain biking (The Lochs and Glens Route National Cycle Network 7, one of the major Sustrans cycle routes passes through Carrbridge) walking, fishing, shooting, golfing, bird-watching, skiing and snowboarding.
