"A very pleasant overnight stay with an excellent dinner."
Hotel was very well located for an overnight 'stop over' en route up the A9. Small friendly 'restaurant with rooms' with nice location & good rooms. Our room was very well equipped & spotlessly clean as were the public rooms/lounges. The best though was an outstanding dinner with excellent choice of wines. Read less

"relaxation"
My husband and I stayed for one night before going on to our timeshare in Aviemore . The dinner was excellent and portions were a perfect size for a mature couple, nothing worse than being presented with an enormous plate of food. After dinner we relaxed in the lounge.
The bedroom was well appointed with usual standard of toiletries you would expect from such an hotel.
In the morning we decided to walk around the mill trail and Derek gave us advice on further walks in the area. Read less

Environmental Statement
As a family-run restaurant with rooms in a fantastic natural environment, we care about the world we will pass on to our children. We reuse and recycle a wide variety of items including paper, corks, card, plastics, printer cartridges, and even bread (for local ducks!). We use as many recycled materials as we can.We are working hard to cut down energy and water usage. Low energy lighting is being installed in as many fittings as possible and bedroom televisions are switched off when rooms are serviced. In the restaurant we make full use of local seasonal produce and where we can we buy produce that has been grown or reared by organic methods. Some of the grounds at The Cross are left to grow into wild areas to encourage local wildlife such as roe deer, squirrels, hedgehogs, frogs, butterflies, and a large range of bird species.
