"Beautiful room and great food!"
My mum, sister and I stayed for one night as we visited Anglesey to see some relatives. Shown to the room swiftly, everything in the room we needed. I would definitely stay again if I was with my partner or friend, not ideal for 3 adults but we were told prior to staying that the 3rd bed was a small sofa bed and decided to still stay. Price is top end but it's that old saying, you get what you pay for! Read less
Likes:
Gorgeous room, clean and modern... perfectly placed for trips to across to Holyhead and then Cemaes next day. The pub downstairs is great too, the food was delicious and service friendly.
Dislikes:
Very very small criticism was at breakfast time, we had to ask for spoons, glasses for the juice, then sugar for the coffee then teaspoons, then sauce... Table not quite set, hated hassling the waiter

The Black Lion Inn is a Grade II Listed 18th Century Country Inn situated on the A5025, just outside the village of Llanfaethlu, between Valley and Cemaes Bay on the beautiful Island of Anglesey. The Inn has been sympathetically renovated and extended by its new owners after lying derelict for a period of about seven years.

The Black Lion Inn stood empty for nearly 7 years before local couple, Leigh and Mari took on the task of renovating this beautiful, 18th Century, Grade II listed Inn.

Prior to opening the Inn, they travelled the across the UK staying at award-winning pubs and inns, inspiring them to take on this new venture.

Leigh and Mari have a real passion for food and drink and feel that in order to offer the best food, they must source the best ingredients; locally-sourced and seasonal.

The Inn comprises a cosy bar and dining room in the original part of the building, and a modern extension with additional dining area to the rear.

We have two B&B bedrooms and guests can enjoy a home-cooked breakfast in the sun room, whilst admiring stunning views across Anglesey with the Snowdonia Mountain range providing a magnificent backdrop.

Well-behaved dogs will be welcome in the B&B and bar area.
