"Much better than expected!"
First impressions were good, the hotel having an old world charm and a terrific view of the Menai Straits. This was slightly spoiled by a rather indifferent reception. Whilst I am not a fan of the over rehearsed customer greetings, a smile and a “good afternoon” from the receptionist would have been nice. However, once a repartee had been established, we found the staff to be friendly and attentive. A couple of good ales, an excellent steak and pleasant company made for an enjoyable evening. Read less

The room and bathroom was very clean and pleasantly furnished. I would certainly recommend the steak! I would have liked to have stayed longer!!

We like the location Wanted to stay in Beaumaris but as late booking all was booked and I bit nervous about where Hotel was but it was a lovely spot.
Dislikes:
Stairs/corridors need a lack of paint and new carpet. Plenty of food at evening meal plus breakfast but little bit same=ish. Lots of deep fried stuff. Oil needed changing. But heyho tasty.

"Dont be fooled by the picture!"
We were really looking forward to staying in what we thought would be the best room in the hotel - it was the dearest room so we expected it to be lovely just as it looked in the picture.Unfortunately the room needs attention - the best bit of the room is probably the bathroom which is very nice and looks relatively new. However the manager needs to take a look - the wallpaper is hanging off the wall next to the small window - our sea view looked onto rubish,
ceiling damp. breakfast was cold. Read less
